A letter about the self-reviw framework was sent to head teachers of South Gloucestershire schools and the following suporting materials were also sent.

  • ‘Finding Your Way with the Self-review Framework’ This DVD contains video case studies demonstrating how schools have used the self-review framework and is a useful planning resource.
  • Becta leaflets entitled ‘The Self-review Framework Eight Elements’ , ‘Ways to Use the Self-review Framework’ and , for primary schools, ‘The Self-review Framework Supporting the Pirmary National Strategy’

We recommend that schools use the self-review framework to support their own school self evaluation. Schools will find it useful to focus on the element relating to the areas they are focusing on in their school improvement plan. Log on to the matrix to access the self-review framework on http://matrix.becta.org.uk. If you register for the framework then your evaluations can be saved and revisited. The framework also indicates the standards required to acheive the ICT mark which will support schools with benchmarking.

If you required further copies of any of the publications these can be accessed on http://publications.becta.org.uk.
